Native Interpreting is always accepting applications from experienced linguists to join our network of interpreters and translators.  We look for individuals with a combination of experience, training and certifications and the drive to continue to learn and grow in this evolving profession.

Interpreters are contracted to work in San Diego County for a variety of on-site assignments in the medical, legal, academic and social service field.  On the other hand, our translators are contracted nationwide to translate a wide variety of documents for our clients.

Submitting your resume is just the first step of the process.  Qualified applicants are required to undergo a thorough screening process that includes the following:

• An in-person interview for interpreters and a phone interview for translators
• A minimum of 40 hours of education or training related to the interpretation or translation field or proof of certification
• A minimum of two years of professional experience
• A reference check
• Finally, candidates will have to score 90% or higher on an interpreting assessment that tests their knowledge on the ethics and standards of this profession
